- Canada, Daitan, Daitan Hiring
Daitan’s Canadian Country Manager, Mario Zimmer, was recently Interviewed by the premier regional business publication, Douglas Magazine, to explain our move to the area. Featured in the article titled, Arrivals, in the April/May edition, Mario describes some of the excellent opportunities the city provides for a growing company like Daitan and a few of the challenges created as Victoria rises to meet the influx of new businesses and people. Victoria is quickly emerging as an attractive entrepreneurial hub on the global map.
Besides Victoria’s milder climate, Zimmer finds the city calm, clean and well organized. A place where ‘everything works the way it should. Victorians’ propensity for welcoming people from other countries is a significant benefit too,’ he says.
Mario, Zimmer, Daitan’s Canadian Country Manager, based in Victoria, is actively hiring software engineering talent. Open positions can be found via Daitan’s Career page.
Daitan’s Canadian office is located within walking distance to the charming Victoria downtown area with shops and restaurants.
Victoria, BC – a Great Place to Be
Victoria, well known for providing a quaint scene and milder weather, is rapidly growing as an entrepreneurial hub. Daitan’s expansion to the region in 2018 was a strategic move that enables us to provide closer proximity to many of our USA-based customers. Canada provides a new global location that Daitan engineers interested in experiencing other geographies can consider. It also enables Daitan to partner with local Universities to attract Canadian engineering talent interested in software development and data science careers.
